Ok, so some of you know that one of my managers is the guitarist of Twisted Sister...you know, that rock band that is best known for their hit single "We're not gonna take it...NO! We ain't gonna take it. We're not gonna take it, anymooooooooooooore" (Yes, I was singing as I wrote that. Hence, the eight billion "o"s).
Anyway, this pic defines my life with my rock-star manager. We're on the subway in NYC in this pic, and we're coming back from one of MY photo shoots, but I can't get his attention, because the whole world wants Twisted Sister!
Jay Jay may be a big-time rock star, but he's my roadie when he's working for me! I get to say "Hey, you big shot Twisted Sister rock-star guitarist, you better carry my guitar and tabla for me" and "Hey, you tough Twisted Sister guy, hold my sparkly Bollywood purse while I go and do this interview".
Ok fine, so I don't really say any of that (out loud). I actually have two very sweet managers, Sean Sullivan and Jay Jay French, who are family to me.
But just for the record, Jay Jay DOES happily carry my stuff when he's in manager-mode....and when he's in rock star mode, well, the pic says it all...
